Embed a newsletter in a page?
I'm also trying to create a new page that has an embed to a newsletter and some introductory text around it. I'm struggling to find a way to do this. Any help is appreciated.
You can paste the embed code for your newsletter directly into a markdown file in your 'Pages' folder. Then you can add you introductory text next to the embed code. Does that help?
Answered 2 years ago · Edit answerThank you so much! That worked!
Though I'm now getting a red box between the page title (creatively named "newsletter") and the newsletter embed for some reason?
And is there a way to prevent the first line of the markdown file being shown on the actual page? I'd like to have "newsletter" as the link name, but have a different title/phrase on the page itself.
Answered 2 years ago · Edit answerIf you post a link to your page we can work out why there's a red line.
There is a way to have a different title on the link, and on the page itself. You can use title metadata to achieve this. For example, consider this page:
Title: Newsletter
# My newsletter
Your text here...
The link text will be 'Newsletter' but on the page itself, the title tag's text will be 'My newsletter'. Does that make sense?
Answered 2 years ago · Edit answerFantastic -- that did the trick. Thank you!
I managed to remove the red line -- perhaps a bodge rather than a fix -- by deleting an "error" line in the newsletter embed code. Something must have been triggering it. Hey ho!
