I love the hover preview used in the bigfoot footnotes within the magazine theme. Just wondering if there was a way to do similar when hovering over wikilinks (similar to that of wikipedia or obsidian)?

Is it possible to make an image into a clickable link in blot?

I'm using a text file as my landing page. I'd like to have that page appear without reference to when it was published. At the moment, information about when the page was published appears in the upper right hand corner of the page. Can I turn that off?

I'm rebuilding my linked text-files folder to play nice with Blot and struggle with how Blot renders wiki-links. When all my apps remove path to file when viewing notes, Blot for some reason retains "./path/" inside "a href=". Which forces me to use a "pipe text" every time I need to make a wikilink, i.e. a monkey routine copy-pasting the entry title again and again I insist that the best way to handle wikilinks for Blot will be "Shortest", not "Relative" path, bow to the simple folder design. Shortest path "when possible" is the default for either Obsidian or iAWriter, and it helps to maintain text database, make editing faster, and avoid errors in creating and re-writing links. Even Obsidian misses a ball with fixing links, when files get renamed. Is there a way to adjust template so that Blot will render wikilinks differently, leaving out "path/"? Or is there a script that will do the same or will add a missing "|pipe text" to the end of every link? Or maybe there is an option to always use "entry title" instead of a "link text"?

Hi. Are wikilinks working as expected? I have the title of a post enclosed in double square brackets, in a page. But the link is broken. It inserts spaces instead of hyphens between the words and doesn't respect my link format. Example: I want a link on this page to link to this post. But it doesn't. Thanks

I am trying to use "Extrinsic Calibration Algorithm between a Stereo Visual System and a 3D LiDAR" for the link text of a wikilink, but it does not work. However, "Extrinsic Calibration Algorithm between a Stereo Visual System and a LiDAR" works. Is there any limitation for the link text?

Hi all. I would like to implement brid.gy fed support on my blog. I have had webfinger working before but the instructions here are a bit different and I am unsure how to do this. This lets my blog be its own fediverse end point rather than tie it to some mastodon instance which I have left for a variety of reasons. Here's the support link from brid.gy. Is there a way of having commas in tags? Tried putting the tag in quote marks and escaping the comma but the terms either side of the comma always get separated out into separate tags. Thanks.

I swear this used to give me an image and an image caption inside a post:  But now I only get the image and no caption. I'm using the blog template. Has something changed or do I have my markdown wrong?

Looking for a way to show the nested tags structure in the nav bar. For example Folder structure being: [Tag A] [Tag B] [Tag C] [Tag D] I would want to have the same indentation and hierarchy in the nav bar, and ideally being apple to collapse and uncollapse them would be great. Is there a way to do this with the current templates?

Just wondering if there is any way to use metadata tags in markdown links? At the moment this markdown: ` Becomes, this HTML: <img src="/%7B%7Burl%7D%7D_images/picture.jpg" alt="caption"> The brackets just get encoded. Can this be avoided? Or should I just use HTML to start with?

Is there currently a way to replicate Jekyll style site-wide metadata? I am trying to use Blot for my teaching materials and there are several bits of information (deadlines for papers etc) that need to appear in several different entries; being able to define them in a single (yaml/json?) data file and include them in the entry as, for example {{site.metadata.deadline1}} would be really useful. I have scheduled two posts in advance, "Part 1" today and "Part 2" next week. At the bottom of Part 1 though, it shows "links to this post," including (necessarily, currently only) "Part 2," even though this link is broken because it won't be shared until next week. Is there a way to hide this?

I've picked up blot because I really like taking notes in Obsidian, and your site seemed like an amazing alternative to their publishing service, really enjoying it so far. I use quite a few javascript extensions in my notes, things like Mermaid.js and most recently jTab for Guitar Tablature. I was wondering if there was a way to incorporate these into my posts? I've converted a markdown (.md file) to HTML, and have the requisite javascript calls in the header of the file, but it seems no matter which way I try to get the calls to jTab working, it never does. Just viewing the .html file in browser everything renders as expected, but not in the post on blot. Is there just no support for Javascript in your HTML files? Or is there some other backend thing I need to do to get things working? I'd really like to not have to snip seperate pictures of everything I have rendered in my notes through JS stuff, as I'll probably end up having quite a bit as my post count grows.

Is there an easy way to create hanging indents (i.e., any text that runs past the margin would wrap with a four-space indentation)? I can do this with single lines using HTML paragraph rules, but this creates some spacing problems. This may be a bit of a niche concern, but would help me format poetry to work better on phone screens.

Hey, I believe I've seen some folks talking about using Obsidian and GitHub to power their Blot posts. However, I can't find the ability to search through questions in the new blot web interface. I feel like I'm just missing something. I am already using git for sync. When I added a GitHub repo as a remote, all of the content transferred to my repo, but now none of my new posts that I push get to my initial Blot git repo and the posts don't show up. If anyone has thoughts on setting up GitHub with Micro.blog, or a way to search the content of the questions, that would be much appreciated.

I joined Blot tonight and I'm trying to make things work, but it seems you can't nest folders? So if I have: pages/dogs/index.md pages/dogs/labrador.md pages/dogs/corgi.md pages/dogs/hound.md Then at the top, my menu now contains: Dogs, Labrador, Corgi, Hound. I just want the menu to contain Dogs, and then go to dogs/index.md, and then I'll link to the other pages separately. But it seems that nesting does nothing, that every single page you create will show up in the menu bar automatically?

Is there a way to link a pdf file located in the same folder of parent note? Because at the moment I can link only pdf in the root 'Files' folder

When directly posting an image to Blot using the YEAR-MONTH-DAY File Name format, the time is always set to 12:00am. I wish to upload several images over several posts but in a particular order. Is there a method of naming an image file to specify a time (Say, 12:01, 12:02, etc) in order to achieve this?
