Questions

I feel like Blot is capable of serving as place where I can both create blog entries and register notes. The first ones are more structured, and the second ones are the kind of things I've been using Obsidian to write. This being said, I wonder if there is a way, using template tags or any other Blot feature I'm still unfamiliarized with, to completely hide my posts tagged as #notes from the homepage, while still being able to access a list of them separately, by, say, clicking mysite.com/notes/ in the menu. What I'd like to achieve by doing this is to have a mix of digital garden/ wiki/ blog in the same site. Am I aiming too high? Thanks for any help.

Hi! I'm a student and would like to publish the full text of my master's dissertation in a dedicated web page with its own address. I'd like to implement a few features to improve the reading experience (like a fixed side menu with chapters and sections, specific styles for tables, etc). I currently have a Blot blog hosted at blog.rodolfoalmeida.info, but I'd like the dissertation page to have its own template. Is there anyway that I can achieve this through Blot while still having just one single blog subscription? Thanks in advance! Rodolfo

I've noticed that some pages seem to be stuck in the cache

I'm new to Blot and noticed that the search feature returns no results when querying non-Latin scripts (e.g. CJK characters) even though the query exists in the blog posts. I'm vaguely aware the issue stems from the fact that the search feature only matches results wrapped in spaces & line breaks etc. My blog posts will be mostly written in Simplified Chinese, so the search feature is rendered near useless for my blog. I do understand that this may not be a good business decision since I assume the vast majority of blot.im users write in Latin scripts. Nevertheless, I hope you'll consider improving the search feature to accommodate languages that doesn't use spaces as delimiters. Thank you in advance!

Hi! I'd like to create a page for my blog, where the button to open the page includes javascript code to make it flash red and yellow. I have the code, only I don't know how to use it to individually effect the appearance of one of the page-buttons … is there a way to achieve this through the metadata?

Using a hashtag for title, or using "Tag: " for tags doesn't register when I source my files from Google Drive. What formatting style should we use for Google Drive?

I would like to customize my template so the home page has a couple sections that show the first 3 posts of a couple different tags. So far I have {{#all_entries}} {{#tagged.SomeTag}} {{title}} {{#tagged.SomeTag}} {{/all_entries}} But I'm not sure if I'm able to limit all_entries or access certain elements of the array with Mustache. Also, is there a way to combine inverted sections? Like if I want to filter out multiple tags from all_entries?

I'd like my images to appear larger on the screen when one clicks on them from the grid. I'm using the portfolio template, and couldn't achieve the result by playing with any of the template edit sliders. The images themselves are quite large (2000x long edge) and opening them in a new tab shows them much larger than they are on the entry page. I also tried uploading full-resolution 6000x4000 images and their size did not change. Thanks

Overnight, I've had for extra links appear in my menu named "page one," "page two", "page three", and "page four." They link to nothing. I have 3 actual pages in my Pages folder - Tenets, Colophon, About - all of which show up. I also added a link to the home page through the dashboard which also appears There are 5 image files in the pages folder, all prefixed with and underscore. So... not sure where those are coming from? Where should I look to remove them?

I love the ability to feature posts and make them sticky through custom metadata which I've added to my template e.g. Sticky: yes Rest of post here... However, one issue I've found is that pagination unsticks the posts. As soon as they have gone off of the front page, they are no longer sticky. Is there any way to change this? Thanks!
